PURPOSE:To detect the fault of an interface in its early stage by performing communication correctly at any time, by providing an interface controller which exercises control over which coupler double should be used and a means of making a physical connection to and disconnection from the doubled interface bus. CONSTITUTION:Central processing unit CPUs 1-0-1-3 are connected to shared control parts 8 of source allocation controllers 2-0-2-3, and to each control part 8, interface control parts 9-0 and 9-1 are connected. To control patts 9-0 and 9-1, interface control parts 9-1 and 9-0 of interface controller 3 are connected via interface buses 4-0 and 4-1. Which bus, 4-0 or 4-1, between double control parts 8 should be used is controlled by controller 3 and a connection with the bus 4-0 or 4-1 is made. Thus, the communication is performed correctly all the time by a switch making a physical connection/disconnection, and the fault of an interface is detected in its early stage by a self-diagnosing function. |
