PURPOSE:To correct an error input part by recording a desired code and by moving a medium simautomatically, by assigning a character code inputted in error and a proper processing code. CONSTITUTION:Character input device 1 is provided with input board surface 2 of character codes, etc., operation mode selection part 3, code generation part 4, and control mode part 5; the character code that corresponds to a character inputted selectively on board surface 2 is outputted from generation part 5 to data bus 6 and an input mode signal is outputted to lines 7 and 8. This bus 6 is provided with the 1st shift register SRI holding a code recorded on medium 20 and the 2nd shift register SRII holding successively codes overflowing when the contents of register SRI is shifted back. Further, counter 13 for the number of codes held in register SRII is provided, and a character code noticed to have been inputted in error and a proper processing code are assigned via device 1 to perform semiautomatically the movement of medium 20 and the correction of the error input part. |
