PURPOSE:To stabilize the vibration energy of a vibrator and to efficiently transmit the energy to an ink for the facilitation of a stable high speed printing operation, by supporting the vertically vibrating horn of a head at the node portion of the vibration, and providing an efflux line of the ink inside the horn. CONSTITUTION:A horn 1 is provided at its bottom part 2 with an electromagnetostrictive vibrator 3 for generating a supersonic vibration, and at its top part 6 with a nozzle plate 11 having a small opening 10. A part 4, which acts as a vibration node when the horn 1 vibrates, is supported by the bottom part 13 of an ink chamber 12. Inside the horn 1 is arranged an efflux line 9 of the ink comprising holes 5, 8. An ink is supplied through an ink feed pipe 15 to the efflux line 9 of the ink. When the electromagnetostrictive vibrator 3 is vibrated supersonically, the amplitude of the vibration is amplified and transmitted to flow out the ink through the small opening 10 from the efflux line 9. Consequently, the ink in the ink chamber 12 is ejected through a spout 17 at the front side 16. In the ink chamber 12 the ink whirls around the top part 6, so that an ink free from solid inclusions is constantly present near the spout 17. |
