<p>PURPOSE:To separate and recover heavy metals contained in a solution in high yield, by passing a solution containing several kinds of metals including heavy metals through a polyalkylene polyamine type chelate resin having a specific composition, followed by passing an eluting solution through the resin. CONSTITUTION:A solution containing one or more heavy metals, e.g., Ni, Co, Mo, Ag, V, etc., alkali metal or alkaline earth metal is passed through a column packed with a polyalkylene polyamine type chelate resin which makes 5-90wt% nitrogen atom of functional groups into an acid load form. The heavy metals contained in the solution are adsorbed on the chelate resin, and separated from other alkali metals, etc. An acid solution, e.g., hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, etc. is passed through the resin so that the adsorbed heavy metals are desorbed to give highly purified metal. After desorption of the heavy metals, an alkaline aqueous solution corresponding to 10-95wt% nitrogen atom of functional groups is passed through the resin, and the resin is blended uniformly for the use of the next adsorption of heavy metals.</p> |
