摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To maintain the freshness of a vegetable, a fruit, a flowering plant, etc., by using an inorganic substance having adsorptivity to which a mixture of sodium hydroxide with calcium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide is attached. CONSTITUTION:An inorganic substance having adsorptivity, e.g. zeolite or lapilli, is pulverized to a suitable size, and a mixture of sodium hydroxide with calcium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide is attached thereto and enclosed in a container having the air permeability. The resultant container is then placed in a container containing a vegetable, a fruit, a flowering plant, etc. The agent thus obtained is effective for a plant which will form little ethylene during the after ripening.</p>
