摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an afterimage and a contrast reduction in a TESI method by forming an interfacial layer between the electric conductor and photoconductor layers of a recording electrode to implant residual charges generated in the photoconductor layer into the electric conductor layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording electrode is composed of transparent electric conductor layer 28 on transparent glass plate 27, interfacial layer 30 of a P type photosemiconductor such as polyvinylcarbazole and layer 32 of an N type semiconductor such as zinc oxide. Electrostatic recording paper 36 is interposed between the recording electrode and opposite electrode 37. A voltage is applied between electrodes 28, 37 so that electrode 28 is made negative and electrode 37 positive, respectively and exposure is carried out through plate 27. Carrier 31 is generated in the light-irradiated part of photoconductor layer 32, carrier 31 with negative polarity is attracted to the electrode 37 side, and carrier 31 with positive polarity to the layer 28 side, respectively. Carrier 31 with positive polarity passes through the interface between layers 30, 32. On the other hand, charges with negative polarity in layer 30 are obstructed by the interface.
