The invention concerns improvements to atmospheric cooling plants used for cooling corrosive liquids capable of precipitating deposits on the walls. The walls are protected by smooth waterproof cloths made preferably of glass fibre-reinforc-ed polyester coated with polyvinyl chloride, the cloths are suspended from spars supporting the ceiling of the enclosure, and are constantly moved by the air blown into the enclosure, so that incrustations are detached and fall into the basin of cooled liquid. The invention allows cooling of such liquids with optimum efficiency without risk of corrosion or of accidents to personnel. |
