<p>A removable plug is provided for temporarily sealing the interior of an annular member to prevent the flow of fluid therethrough. The removable plug including a plug body means disposed within the annular member and comprising packer mandrel means and packer member means located on the packer mandrel means for sealingly engaging the interior of the annular member. Packer setting sleeve means are located on the packer mandrel means for compressing the packer member means. Locking dog means are pivotally mounted on the plug body means for retaining the plug from axial movement in at least one direction in the annular member. Pressure equalization means are provided for allowing the flow of the fluid through the plug thereby allowing the pressure of the fluid to substantially equalize in the annular member and across plug before the removal of the plug from the annular member.</p> |
