Telecine appts. with audio accompaniment - derives audio and control signals from same recording medium so that sound can accompany single still film frame

Each film frame is held stationary in the frame gate, and the film drive is controlled in responce to control signals sensed from a recording medium e.g. a magnetic tape, which also carries the audio signals for the sound accompaniment of the film. An inexpensive telecine machine may be used to provide a succession of still pictures accompanied by a commentary or audio effects, and only one film frame is required for each still picture, i.e. this film frame is repeatedly scanned. Preferably the appts. is of the flying-spot type, and the electro-optical transducer generates three primary-colour video signals.
