PURPOSE:To improve printing quality and to reduce ink consumption, by a method wherein the ink at a part corresponding to a picture element is adhered to a tape through the fusion of a solid ink roller, and it is transferred to a printing sheet between rollers. CONSTITUTION:A part of a solid roller 1, corresponding to a picture element, such as printing symbols, is heated by means of a thermal head 6, and said part is then fused. This enables the formation of an ink image showing details to be printed on one surface of an endless tape 4. When it passes through between a platen soller 7 and a heat roller 2, it is transferred to a sheet 5 to be printed, which passes in a manner to be laid over the endless tape 4, for printing. That is, when an ink image, drawn on the tape 4 with the heat of the heat roller 2, is fused again, the tape 4 and the sheet 5 to be printed, simultaneously, are firmly adhered through the pressure of the two rollers. As a result, the ink image on the tape 4 is transferred to the sheet 5 to be printed. |
