PURPOSE:To execute a continuous use successively from the final recording, by recording the information of its final recording end point, in a separate area, in the case of re-recording to an optical disk, and controlling an optical pickup by its data. CONSTITUTION:An optical pickup 8 which can execute freely position controls 15-17 in the diameter direction is provided on a disk 7 which can execute re-recording optically, and the recording area of the disk 7 is divided into a data area for recording a first information, and a TOC (Table of Contents) area for recording a second information, based on said information. By the optical pickup 8, time information corresponding to the final recording end point at the time of re-recording to the data area is recorded and updated in the TOC area. At the time of the next recording to the data area, the updated recording of the TOC area is read, and the pickup is controlled, by which an access can be executed immediately to the continuation of the previous recording. |
