PURPOSE:To reduce noise levels produced in printing by dispersing the printing timing of each dot which constitutes printing heads. CONSTITUTION:A printing head 1 on which a plurality (e.g. seven) of dot printing wires 2 are disposed in a line is arranged with an inclination angle theta to the normal in the scanning direction 3 of the printing head. To said printing head 1, a control logical circuit 44 which receives a printing instruction signal from a terminal 41 reads an image element printing pattern from a character pattern signal generator 43 through a printing position timing signal outputted from a terminal 42 and excites respectively magnets 51-54 of the printing head 1 for printing through delay signal generating circuits 45-48. In this case, the difference of the excited time between the magnets (e.g. 51 and 52) of the neighboring wires 2, that is, the value of the delay time T is shown by the formula (V: scanning speed in the spacing direction of the head 1, PV: vertical distance between neighboring wires). |
