PURPOSE:To obtain a microencapsulated toner fixable under low pressure, easy to manufacture and having impact resistance, a long life and shelf stability by using a specified substance as the core substance of microcapsules. CONSTITUTION:The core substance of a microencapsulated toner having the substance and a shell coating the substance contains resin and an org. solvent dissolving or swelling the resin at ordinary temp., and the viscosity of the core substance at 20 deg.C is 10-10<7>, preferably 50-10<5>, especially preferably 10<2>-10<4> centipoises. The wall of the toner is made of substance insoluble in the org. solvent in the core substance. In order to provide the toner with an insulating property and proper triboelectric charging characteristics, an outer wall may be formed on the outside of the wall. When the toner is used as a magnetic toner, magnetic powder is added to at least one of the core and wall. |
