PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned rod body which is not slippery by a method wherein a plastics tubular body with bandlike ribs of elastic rubberlike substance having a small heat shrinkage is formed by extrusion, thereafter, the rod body is inserted thereinto and the plastics tube is adhered to the rod body by heating and contracting the plastics. CONSTITUTION:Plastics such as polyvinyl chloride or the like is molten in an extruder and the plastics tube 1 is extruded from a die section, concurrently, a double forming is effected so that one to several stripes of bandlike ribs 2 of elastic rubberlike substance having a small heat shrinkability are formed lengthwisely on the peripheral surface of the tube 1, thus, the tubular body 1a may be obtained. Subsequently, air of a predetermined temperature is blown into the tube and both of the ends thereof are sealed preferably thereby expanding the body of the tube 1 only. The rod body 3 such as a bamboo or the like having a circular section is inserted into the tubular body 1b which is expanded and elongated, and air is blown against the outer peripheral surface of the bube 1. The tube 1 is contracted under being cooled and is adhered to the rod body 3, thus, the rod body 1c covered with the shrinkable tube may be obtained. In this case, the ribs 2 follow the shrinkage of the tube 1 under keeping the original forms thereof and form slip resistances. |
