SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD OF MAGNETIC SCALE

PURPOSE:To perform magnetic scale processing of high resolving power by using detectors consisting of thin-film magneto-resistance effect elements and the pseudo saw-tooth waves formed by these. CONSTITUTION:Repective patterns 1-B shifted by one-fourth wavelength in parallel are arranged to the repectitive patterns of magnetized bodies 1-A provided respectively with detectors. The two pseudo saw-tooth waves shifted by one-fourth wavelength are obtained from the detectors by moving the detectors. Thence, the pseudo saw-tooth waves are formed by combining the linear regions of the peusdo sine waves. The absolute value of the relative displacments of the magnetized bodies and the detectors are displayed by using these saw-tooth waves. Since the stable pseudo saw-tooth waves are obtained by using such detectors, the magnetic scale processing of high resolving power is performed.
