Date Nov. 12, 1981.A coating of metal is applied to a metal wire having substantially the same melting point as the metal coating. The wire is passed through a bath of molten metal contained in a container and out through an outlet hole in the container bottom. The diameter-like dimension of the hole is 1.5 to 2 times the like dimension of the wire so that molten metal flows down through the outlet hole along the wire. The wire and molten metal then are cooled to solidify the coating on the wire. |
