PURPOSE:To reduce greatly the power consumption when an incoming call is being waited, by putting the power source of the radio reception part of a mobile radiotelephone set to work onoy in the reception of a common subframe and a subframe for the transmission of an incoming call signal addressed to the telephone set. CONSTITUTION:Switch circuit 15 of mobile radiotelephone set 10 is closed by control circuit 14 in response to every frame. When common group CG is transmitted, power source 16 supplies electric power to radio reception part 12. Synchronizing word (a) is received and the timing is confirmed; and then position information word (b) and access channel information word (c) are received successively. Next, circuit 15 is opened to stop the power supply to reception part 12, and at the position of its belonging group, the output of circuit 14 is supplied to circuit 15 to put the power source of reception part 12 to work again, thereby performing the reception. |
