摘要 An air pump is provided to compress air by reciprocating a piston using forward and reverse rotation of a motor instead of using a crank. An air pump comprises a piston(2), a rack gear(3), a cylinder(1), exhaust valves(4), a head(5), a rear head(6), a motor(11), and a switch(12). Compressing surfaces(2') are formed at two ends of the piston. A suction valve(2") is attached to the compressing surfaces. The rack gear is formed between the compressing surfaces. Switching pins(9') are installed at two ends of the rack gear. The piston is inserted in the cylinder. The exhaust valves are installed at two ends of the cylinder. The head is connected with the rear head through a connection pipe(7). The motor having a pinion gear(9) is installed at the cylinder so as to interlock the rack gear with the pinion gear. The switch presses the switching pin.
