The arrangement has a bolt (1) pivoted around an axis (A1) and operated by a ratchet (2) pivoted around an axis (A2). A metallic compression coil spring (4) is integrated to a steel counterplate (5) included in a locking box made up of plastic material. The spring limits the path of the bolt while closing an opening towards a body of a vehicle forming a frame. An Independent claim is also included for a lock of an opening of a motor vehicle.
