<p>PURPOSE:To surely execute external transfer of read-out character information in every unit, by comparing the size of space not detecting character and the size of noncharacter space with the set value of the switch to be preset and discriminating the end of the read-out character information. CONSTITUTION:The read-out section 1 consists of the hand type reader, light is radiated on the object P to be read-out with illuminating lumps 2, 3 and the reflected light from the object P is fed to the photoelectric conversion element 5 via the image formation lens 4. Further, the output of the element 5 is fed to the quantization secton 20 via the cable 10 and the signal is converted to binary signal in white/ black level and the fed to the section 30 for cut-out of characters and discrimination section 40. The control section 50 sequentially measures the manual scanning time required for the spaces among characters on the object P to detect the size of noncharacter space thus measured, and the size of the space is compared with the size of the noncharacter space of the set switch 60 to discriminate the end of the character information and transfer the character information externally.</p> |
