PURPOSE:To reduce a cost for assembling an electrolytic tank by a method wherein a resin is coated on a part of the liquid passing type porous electrode and the coated part is utilized as a spacer to miniaturize said electrode. CONSTITUTION:To a part 2 of the liquid passing type electrode 1 made of a carbon cloth or other porous carbon or a porous substance such as a metal net or a porous sintered metal, a thermoplastic resin such as a polyethylene or the like excellent in corrosion resistance, heat resistance and mechanical strength is coated or impregnated and the coated or the impregnated part is utilized as a spacer. The electrolytic tank is constituted from the liquid passing type porous electrode 1 having the spacer used therewith, a base plate 5 made of Ti equipped with passing pores 3A, 3B of an electrolyte and a diaphragm 4. As compared to a conventional liquid passing type porous electrode, because a spacer can be eliminated, labor and a fabrication cost in assembling the electrolytic tank can be economized. |
