The winding for the slotless armature of an electric machine is made as a multilayer coil with turns firmly held to maintain the required geometry. The continuous conductor wire is laid on the template to form looped leads for connecting to the commutator with the adjacent turn gripper by two yarn sheets wrapping the wire. The transposed yarns form an angle for placing the next turn, the operation repeated over the whole length of the active section of the non-salient armature. The wire (1) is laid on the hexagonal template (2) with the rows 3/4 of man-made fibre yarns (5) ensuring the gripping. The spacing between the longitudinal ribs (6) of the template is equal to the length of armature active part while the spacing between faces (7) corresponds to the polar pitch of the armature. The extended loops for connecting the commutator are twisted at the base, and after cutting off the required number of wound turns (8) some turns are left over to continue coiling the next winding.
|
