PURPOSE:To obtain a small inexpensive liquid level measuring device by connecting a float in the first vessel with a weight in the second vessel provided with a variable resistor in it via a pulley and measuring the change of the resistance of the variable resistor. CONSTITUTION:A float 4 is suspended in the first vessel 1 with a communicating hole 2 in the bottom, while a weight 7 is suspended in the second vessel 5 provided with a variable resistor 6 in it, and the float 4 and the weight 7 are connected with a rope 8 via a pulley 9. The slider of the weight 7 contacts with the variable resistor, while one end of the variable resistor 6 is connected to the input terminal 11a of a resistance current converter 11 via a lead wire 12a and the weight 7 is connected to the input terminal 11b of the resistance current converter 11 with a lead wire 12b via a hoist 13. Since the weight moves vertically as the liquid level 3a moves vertically, the value of the variable resistance also changes. By so doing, output proportionate to the liquid level can be obtained from the output ends 11c, 11d of the resistance current converter 11. |
