<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled packaged article usuful for a joint part of a tubular member of an electric with or the like, having a small swelling ratio and capable of being fitted speedily by a method wherein the sealing element formed from a flexible plastic or the like is swelled by adding a volatile swelling agent and the like to the element, and after placing the element in a container and sealing the container, the swelling agent is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:The sealing element consisting of the flexible plastic (e.g., soft polyvinyl chloride or the like) or rubber (e.g., chloroprene rubber or the like) is swelled by adding to it the volatile swelling agent (e.g., ethyl acetate or the like) in an amount required to swell the element to a predetermined volume and a swelling agent (e.g., silicone oil or the like). The element thus swelled is placed in the container by the action of a lubricant, and after sealing the container, the content in the container is left as it is or agitated until the liquid volatile swelling agent is eliminated, whereby the swelled element is contracted to obtain the packaged article.</p> |
