PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned resin sheet with no uneven thickness in a width direction by holding a sheet-shaped thermoplastic resin and glass fiber with two pieces of continuous belt, intermittently moving a belt, applying pressure to them through heating while they are stationary and then subjecting them to pressure under cooling. CONSTITUTION:An object to be held 40 which is composed of a glass fiber mat for reinforcement 2 fitted together between two pieces of thermoplastic resin sheets 1, 1', is held between continuous belts 3, 3'. Then two sets of heating plates 6, 6' and 7, 7' set opposed to each other and two sets of cooling plates 8, 8' and 9, 9' set in an opposed position adjacent to the formers, are opened and closed intermittently. After this procedure, the said object to be held 40, hend between belts 3, 3', is moved by means of a drive motor 30, synchronized to the afore-mentioned opening/ closing operation and then, is held under intermittently applied pressure. Thus heating and cooling are provided in a width direction under a uniform pressure through a close surfacial contact between the continuous belt and the heating plate or the cooling plate. |
