摘要 <p>An arrangement which produces a plasma discharge stimulated by microwaves for light emission spectrometry is esp. applicable in analytical chemistry using microwaves of frequency 2450 MHz and stimulation in a coaxial resonator. It produces discharges which are reproducible, stable, and steady. It is a small arrangement which can be mounted on a conventional bank of spectrometers and connected to the microwave generator via a flexible cable to enable problem-free adjustment of the discharge in the spectrometer optical axis. A cable resonator of length no more than half the wavelength has the microwave power coupled into its central conductor so that the impedance of the resonator with ignited plasma is transformed to the impedance of the coaxial conductor for power transfer.</p>
