<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a brake assembly for a brake motor, by integrally assembling brake liners, calipers, a rotary solenoid, etc. so that the brake assembly is of a floating type. CONSTITUTION:Sliding members 22 are protruded from a base plate 21 mounted on the rotor 4 of a motor 1, so that the slidig members 22 extend in parallel with the plate 21. Brake liners 5, 6 are placed on the sliding members 22 so that the sliding members 22 carry braking torque. A caliper support member 23, whose cross section is shaped as U and which are fitted with guide pins 24 parallel with each other, is mounted on the sliding members 22. The legs of calipers 7, 8, 9, which pinch the rotor 4 with the brake liners 5, 6, are slidably fitted on the guide pins 24 astride the rotor 4. A rotary solenoid 16 is mounted by bolts on the side of the caliper support member 23 opposite the sliding members 22 are interlocked with a ball lamp mechanism for caliper members.</p> |
