LEAF SPRING MADE OF FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC

PURPOSE:To prevent a leaf spring of fiber-reinforced plastic from being broken down due to stress concentration, by using clamp members to pinch-hold the body of the leaf spring together with a bush including a circular portion. CONSTITUTION:Both of the end portions of the body S of a leaf spring are curved almost coincidently with the shape of the rear end 6 of a bush 5 which has a circular portion. The butt 8 of the bush 5 is tightened on the leaf spring S by an inner clamp member 11 and an outer clamp member 12. A bush mounting hole 7 is opened in the rear end portion 6. This results in providing such a clamping construction as to avoid a disadvantageous shape with a hole in the plane end portion of a leaf spring, in which shape the spring is likely to be most easily broken down due to stress concentration when it is mounted on a vehicle or the like.
