PURPOSE:To protect the body of the operator of a chain saw or the like, by causing vibration-absorbing coiled springs to absorb the vibration of the chain saw or the like lest the vibration should be transmitted to a grip. CONSTITUTION:Vibration-absorbing coiled springs 4, 4 are provided in the gap between a holder 2 and a cylindrical grip 3 so that the springs 4, 4 are fitted in the radial direction of the holder 2. In the cylindrical grip 3, an inner metal cylinder 5' is fitted in an outer elastic cylinder 5 of rubber or the like. The central portions 6, 6 of the vibration-absorbing coiled springs 4, 4 are screw-engaged in tapped holes 8, 8 located in the central areas of fitting holes 7, 7 which are opened through the holder 2 and extend perpendicularly to each other at appropriate intervals. The outer ends 9, 9 of the coiled springs 4 are anchored to the inside surface 10 of the inner metal cylinder 5. |
