The arrangement is intended for de-burring recessed and/or irregular portions (18-21) of a workpiece (16) by means of a brush (11) having metal or plastics bristles (12). The brush is moved to and fro (13) in the direction of the effective bristles so that these come into contact with the areas which are to be de-burred. The brush may be a round bush with radial bristles which is rotated over about 4 deg. per to and fro stroke. The brush may, alternatively, be a pencil-type brush. The brush may be moved at a predetermined angle relative to the work.
