PURPOSE:To record discrimination information outside the picture information area of receiving paper at the receiving side, by placing a cylindrical roller having the discrimination information, and a belt at the read position, making the original conveying roller synchronize with a travelling speed, and rotating it in the exposure part. CONSTITUTION:While an original 1 is detected by the sensor 12 and the frone end of this original is drawing near the exposure part which is the read position, the discrimination information 4 is read continuously by the photoelectric conversion element. When the original 1 has reached the exposure part, the solenoid 22 is electrified. As a result, the lever 25 moves to the right, and stops at the position shown by an alternate long and short dash line. While picture information of the original 1 is being read, the roller is shunted from the read position. After read has been finished, electrification of the solenoid 22 is disconnected, by which the roller 5 is returned to the initial exposure part position by force of the excitation spring 28. |
