Dispensing container for rectangular tablets - has inner container depressed against spring to release one tablet via chute and duct

The container is intended for holding and individually dispensing tablets, particularly rectangular tablets. It comprises an outer container (1) and an inner container (2) with top cover which can be depressed against a spring. The container bottom is formed by two downwardly inclined walls (6,7) which lead to a dispensing chute (5). One wall (6) is integral with the outer container (1) whilst the other (7) is integral with the inner container (2) and with one side and bottom wall of the chute. The chute may lead to a downward duct whose length approximately equals two tablet dias. and which has spring-loaded members to retain the uppermost tablet whilst the lowermost is released.
