<p>The modified vehicle differential has the drive taken directly from the propshaft to one wheel, and to the other wheel via the differential. The drive is split by a set of bevel gears with one bevel linked to the input bevel of a simple differential. The output from the differential is taken over two slave bevels to a single bevel and drive shaft. The differential has simple bevel gears and does not require a large crown wheel with its associated low ground clearance. Good traction is obtained during cornering and on poor grip roads, without having to have a locking differential.</p> |
