Blades for which a holder is provided are curved in a shell shape lengthways, and have bent sections armed with splitters parallel to the stress direction of cutting forces on the blade edges. The system is used for one-way turning blades for wood- chipping machines. A base plate (1) and a saddle (2), with open working on its convex side, are adjustably interconnected. The clamping plate (3), serving as blade housing has slots (6) fixing the blade adjustably on the saddle. The fitting faces (5) in the slots support the slitter-armed bent sections of the blade, without clamping action. Blade bearing forces are introduced by clamping forces in the holder acting vertically on the cutting forces, and the blade can be adjusted and fixed in at least two reference surfaces.
