The device has a tubular shaped main reservoir whose height is sufficiently large with respect to the diameter of the main reservoir. The main reservoir is equipped of an opening (4) provided in a lower part for a main water source and a supply opening (9) provided in a upper part for a water source i.e. public network, to be protected. A feed pump is started up by automatism to fill the reservoir when the water level in the reservoir is low.
