The method involves obtaining a body (1) of a cylindrical shaped blank by extrusion of radio-transparent material. Radio-visible material e.g. barium sulphate, is co-extruded with the radio-transparent material so as to obtain an insert (3) of the radio-visible material at inside the radio-transparent material. The insert is positioned in a centered and off-centered manner with respect to the body of the blank. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for manufacturing a blank of surgical implant, comprising an exterior hopper connected to an outer extrusion nozzle.
