PURPOSE:A lubricant for sliding bearing that is prepared by using a purified mineral oil with a specified viscosity as a base and adding a reaction product from naphthetic acid and a polyamine and a specific antioxidant to the base by specified amounts, thus permitting the disposal of sticky substance formed while employed and preventing the development of foams and rusts. CONSTITUTION:A purified mineral oil with a dynamic viscosity of 10-10,000cst at 40 deg.C and a viscosity index of higher 80 is used as a base and combined with (A) 0.003-3.0wt% of a reaction product from naphthenic acid and a polyamine and (B) 0.01-3.0wt% of an antioxidant composed of an aromatic amine and/or an alkylphenol to give the objective lubricant. The component A is produced by effecting the reaction between naphthenic acid and a polyamine at a molar ratio 10/1- 1/1 at 100-220 deg.C for 1-2hr. The naphthenic acid preferably has an acid value of 100-250mgKOH/g. As the polyamine, is used, e.g., dithylenetriamine or triethylenetetramine preferably. |
