Transmission channels are used to connect parent and satellite telephone exchanges so that a data transfer between the common control equipment of the two exchanges can be used for control purposes, especially those of an energy saving nature. Registers in the parent exchange can be accessed by subscribers on both the parent and satellite exchange for signalling purposes. The objective is to make greater use of the common exchange equipment by providing greater access to it for subscribers on the parent and satellite exchanges. Each subscriber (T11,T12,T1m) on the parent exchange is connected via a line unit (Ta11) to the switch block (K) and the common control (AST). Multifrequency receivers (W1...Wx) are also connected to the switch block and the common control; both using a common data bus (P) for control purposes. A 2 Mbit/s 30 channel PCM path connects the parent and satellite exchanges. For security two 30 channel systems (G1,G2,G11,G12,g1,g2) carry 29 transmission channels and the 30th channel in each is used for a duplicated signalling path.
|
