PURPOSE:To extend a voltage range capable of switching-over the circuit and to extend a temperature range in which a pulse laser unit is used by a method wherein two or more avalanche transistors connected in parallel with each other are simultaneously made continuity by an external trigger. CONSTITUTION:The avalanche transistors (TR) Q1-QN as switch elements are connected in series with each other, a terminal C being applied with a voltage, and the TR Q1-QN being made continuity to allow negative pulses generated at a terminal D be supplied to the pockels' cell. This circuit makes, for example, five TRs Q1-Q5 be applied with trigger signals from a terminal A through a transformer 12 to simultaneously be made continuity and makes the rest TRs be continued by avalanche. Thus, the operating voltage range switching the circuit can be extended comparing with the case where only one TR Q1, for example, is triggered. In addition, thereby, the temperature range used in the pulse laser unit can be extended. |
