Temperature controlling apparatus for use in preparing resin foams.

Resin foam is prepared by extrusion, wherein a heat-plastified resin must be impregnated with a foaming agent at higher temperatures then cooled to lower temperatures and extruded from a die. In order to obtain the uniform foam, the resin must be cooled to have a uniform lower temperature throughout the whole thereof. The apparatus is adapted for cooling uniformly a large amount of the resin, is constructed by a rotator 1 provided in a barrel 2 and having a number of blades 3, each of which is formed by a @-shaped frame standing uprightly on the rotator 1 and extending in the axial direction of the rotator 1. Each blade 3 has upper and lower surfaces which slope radially inwardly rearwardly of the direction of rotation and a sharp leading edge.
