ELECTRODE SUPPORT INSULATOR

PURPOSE:To facilitate pretreatment and plating treatment by forming a pair of mutually separated projecting electrode support blocks on the surface of the upper part of the cover section of an electrode support insulator consisting of ceramic and the cover section which covers both a conical barrel block and its top. CONSTITUTION:An electrode support insulator consisting of a conical barrel block 11 and a cover section 12 are formed in an integrated body from a ceramic block. A pair of electrode support blocks which are projected like columns are formed upward on the surface of the cover section 12 and electrode insertion holes 14 are provided at each center. The surface of the electrode support blocks 13 is metallically plated 15 and 16 using nickel, etc. Electrodes 18 are inserted in them and brazed. This facilitates pretreatment and plating treatment and improves mass production since the section on which a plating layer is formed is located outside.
