AN EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION METHOD OF THE LICENSE ON THE DIGTAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A method for managing and operating a copyright of digital contents efficiently in a DRM(Digital Copyrights Management) system is provided to efficiently manage a license for a plurality of contents having a similar use condition by separating common use condition information from the license of the encrypted digital contents, and storing, issuing, and managing the common use condition information. A contents providing service system separates a common use condition from a license and registers the common use condition to a common use condition archive of a DRM system. A DRM user system receives encrypted contents from the contents providing service system and the license for using the received contents from the DRM system. The DRM user system receives the common use condition from the common use condition archive when the license is verified in a license verifying block. A common use condition requesting/receiving block requests the DRM system to issue the common use condition when the common use condition is not found in the common use condition archive or is invalid. A DRM block transfers the valid common use condition to a common use condition transferring block by determining whether a user and a user system satisfy a current service condition.
