An on board terminal for traffic information communication is provided to reduce the size of the on board terminal and provide multiple services by integrating a former hardware into an integration type ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit) chip. An on board terminal for traffic information communication comprises a serial communication part, a key input part, a transmitting and receiving antenna, a GPS antenna, a monitor, a speaker, a power supply part, and an integration type ASIC chip(200). The integration type ASIC chip includes a firmware storage part(210), a data memory(220), an audio data memory(230), an MP3 chip(240), a GPS receiving part(250), a charge processing part(260), an FTMS(Freeway Traffic Management System) part(270), a sound processing part(290), an image processing part(280), and a CPU(Central Processing Unit). The firmware storage part stores software. The audio data memory stores digital audio data inputted through the software. The GPS receiving part receives a GPS satellite signal. The charge processing part reads out financial information recorded in a smart card and processes various charge processes. The FTMS part receives real time traffic information data from a road traffic information providing repeater.
