PURPOSE:A slurry of water-containing beaten laver is fed from one end of the draining plate declined forward and made to flow down gradually to the other end under rinsing to remove contaminants, sticky substances and saline efficiently. CONSTITUTION:A slurry of water-containing laver fed from inlet 4 is stored in the tank 5 where excessive water is drained from hole 15. When the level of the slurry exceeds the flashboard 6, the slurry overflows on the plate 2 and is expanded into a band by the doctorblade 7. The band of the laver slurry is rinsed with water from pipes 3a-3g in the rinsing water supplier 3 as it is moving rightward and flows into the receiver tank 9. Most part of the rinsing water is excluded through fine holes 8 on the draining plate 2. Then, the slurry of laver in the tank 9 is sucked out of the outlet 10 by the pump 11 and sent to the draining screen and to the laver formulating machine 14. |
