1. Burst limiter and shot-counting device for automatic fire weapons, in particular portable, said device comprising a notched part, for instance, a ratchet wheel (12), advancing one tooth on each shot fired, under the effect of a feed catch (14) made to move by a percussion hammer (2) and operating a limiter trigger (19) to interrupt the burst after a predetermined number of shots, said percussion trigger (19) swiveling at the center about pin (20) integral with the stop (3) of the hammer such that one of its ends (19b) meshes in the hammer yoke (11) with said device characterized by the fact that the action of limiter trigger (19), in the form of an elongated S, is governed by a control cam (18) mounted on ratchet wheel (12) against which the limiter trigger (19) bears under the effect of its end (19a) due to a torsion spring (21) attached to the stop (3) of the hammer and bearing against the latter.
