: 2-Formylquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide cyanoacetylhydrazones having the general formula: (I) wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, possess markedly pronounced anticoccidial properties, show promotory effect on the growth of farm animal, and favorably influence their general health status. They are useful as veterinary medicaments and feed additives, especially for poultry and swine.
