发明名称 FLOW MEASUREMENT USING ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOW METER
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a flow value at high precision rate by seeking Reynolds number from dynamic viscosity factor, applied magnetic flux density and detected electromotive force which depend on the temperature of an electroconductive fluid flowing through a conduit havin a cross-section shape provided in such manner that a flow distribution consists of a function of a tubular diameter and the function of the Reynolds number. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic pole 2 which provides a sufficiently uniform magnetic field, a sufficiently small electrode 3 which detects an electromotive force generated in a conduit passage under electromagnetic induction rule for an electroconductive fluid flowing through the aforemenioned conduit passage 1 on account of a magnetic field, arithmetic operators 5, 6 which process measurement data and a thermometer 4, constitute a flow measurement means. A dynamic viscosity factor nu depending on a temperature is calculated through temperature measurement and the flowing velocity of a fluid is calculated based on the applied magnetic field density and detected electromotive force. After these steps, these factors are combinated to obtain Reynolds number and a flow distribution is computed based on the separately established relationship between the Reynolds number and the flow distribution. The above-mentioned factors are applied to a flow formula to obtain a flow velocity. This process is sequentially calculated with the assistance of the arithmetic operators 5, 6 to finally calculate a flow. Thus a flow Q can be obtained over an extensive range of Reynolds numbers with high precision.
