PURPOSE:To continuously measure the concentration of sludge water through utilization of supernatant water by receiving and discharging a flixed volume of sludge water and supernatant water using a sample scale and obtaining the ratio of thier weights. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a control circuit 25 opens a switching valve SV1 and a supernatant water is introduced into a scale 10. If the water level reaches a level gauge 16, the switching valve SV1 is closed and a load cell 7 transmits a signal to be memorized by a memory unit. Next, a pinch valve 12 is opened discharging a supernatant water with a switching valve SV2 opened. This action results in the introduction of sludge water into the scale 10 and a signal corresponding to the weight of a fixed volume is memorized as is the same at the afore-mentioned case. Then based on the ratio of their weights, the concentration of sludge water is calculated. In the next cycle, the interior of the scale 10 is washed by supernatant water and after this step, the same process is repeated. Thus it is possible to continuously measure the concentration of sludge water using supernatant water effectively. |
