<p>An improved process for recovering benzene and chlorine from hexachlorocyclohexanes by reacting the waste isomers from the production of lindane with zinc and electrolysis of the zinc chloride obtained, characterized in that the reaction is effected in the cathode compartment of an electrolytic cell divided by a diaphragm, the zinc being produced in situ at the cathode.</p> |
