<p>1. Process for the manufacture of granular propellant powders from hydrated nitrocellulose, characterised in that : a) the aqueous nitrocellulose is mixed in a mixer, optionally in the presence of a stabilizer, with a solvent selected from the group consisting of methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate, or mixtures of methyl ethyl ketone and ethyl acetate, the weight percentage of the solvent being between 50 and 100% relative to the weight of the dry nitrocellulose, b) the paste thereby obtained is pressed in the cold state, and c) the strip thereby obtained is cut up into granules after drying.</p> |
